Under this name, an international winter school was held by the Department of Plant and Animal Husbandry on the basis of the M.Auezov SKU from 01/15/2024 to 01/27/2024.
The international winter school "Auezov University - 2024" is a great opportunity for specialists to improve their knowledge, and for students to master modern courses and increase the number of credits in their graduation diplomas.
The main purpose of the winter school was to gain new knowledge, practical skills, innovative technologies and research methods. As part of this event, the students of the school had a unique opportunity to gain new knowledge and practical skills in the areas of innovative development of agriculture in modern conditions.
The task was to involve scientists and specialists in discussing problems and making practical decisions in the field of innovative development of agriculture in modern conditions in Kazakhstan and abroad.
"Auezov University – 2024" is intended for students of educational programs

- Fruit and vegetable growing;
- Technology of production of livestock products;
- Veterinary medicine;
- Water resources and water use;
- Agricultural machinery and technology;

- Protection and quarantine of plants.
Students, undergraduates, young scientists from universities of Kazakhstan and abroad, university professors of all fields were invited to participate.
The mechanism of the program: the development of methods, techniques and skills of scientific research by students in the process of learning according to curricula.
The main principle of the School is Complexity, which involves the integration of educational and research processes, as well as the synthesis of theoretical and practical training with specific results.
The winter school was attended by 116 speakers from 8 countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, China, Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Uzbekistan) and more than 200 listeners.
It is necessary to highlight the following scientific reports, which are of an applied nature: Space and GIS monitoring of quantitative assessment of saline soils and degradation of agricultural arable land in the south of Kazakhstan. Moisture-saving technology of potato cultivation using environmental factors on sod-podzolic sandy loam soil. Solving production tasks in compliance with environmental requirements in various spheres of the national economy.
