Winter School “Protection of human rights in the context of globalization: theoretical issues and practical solutions”

At the Faculty of Law of the South Kazakhstan University named after M. Auezov, from January 15 to January 27, 2024, the International Winter School 2024 was held on the topic “Protection of human rights in the context of globalization: theoretical issues and practical solutions.”

The winter school was attended by scientists from Italy (University of Genoa), Turkey (Cyprus International University, University of Kutahya Dumlupınar), Georgia (Georgian Institute of Public Affairs), Russia (Ufa University of Science and Technology, North-Eastern Federal University named after M.K. Ammosov (Republic of Sakha, Yakutia), State Educational Institution of Higher Education "State Social and Humanitarian University" (Kolomna), Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia named after V.Ya. Kikot, Rostov Institute of the All-Russian State University of Justice, North Caucasus Federal University), Uzbekistan (National University of Uzbekistan named after MirzoUlugbek, Tashkent State University of Law), Kazakhstan (Alikhan Bokeikhan University, KazNPU named after Abay), Germany and from other countries near and far abroad, as well as undergraduates and students (Tambov branch of RANEPA under the President of the Russian Federation, Law Institute of Irkutsk State University, Far Eastern Branch of the All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, Yesenin Russian State University, NEFU named after M.K. Ammosov, Guram Tavartkiladze University, Bashkir Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Peoples' Friendship University named after. Academician A. Kuatbekova, Shymkent University).

Practicing lawyers (judges of the Specialized Interdistrict Economic Court of Shymkent, Interdistrict Criminal Court of Shymkent, mediators of the International Human Rights Center (Almaty), representative of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan in Shymkent, lawyers of the Shymkent Bar Association, notaries of the Chamber of Notaries Shymkent and others) sharing their practical experience, discussed the problems of protecting human rights and proposed ways to solve them in the realities of today.

The winter school provided an excellent opportunity for students and teachers to master modern courses, improve knowledge and acquire new skills.

At the end of the international winter school, 352 certificates were issued.
