Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals of Kazakhstan: challenges and opportunities

On December 20, 2023, a training seminar was held for deans, heads of departments and heads of structural divisions on the topic "Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals of Kazakhstan: challenges and opportunities". The speaker of the seminar was Khambar Bakytkul, Director of the Secretariat for the SDGs of the Institute of Economic Research JSC, with a report "A brief overview of  Kazakhstan's progress in achieving the SDGs".

In her speech, Ms. Khambar Bakytkul gave an overview of Kazakhstan's progress towards achieving the 17 SDGs and elaborated on SDG 4: Quality Education. Setting the values of national comparative indicators for SDG indicators 4.

The speaker of the event was also the Rector of Mahatma Gandhi University Charovila T. Aravindakumar with a report "The experience of Mahatma Gandhi University in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals", where he shared in detail information about the positive experience of Mahatma Gandhi University in achieving the SDGs.

The head of the Ratings Department, G.S.Eszhanova, spoke about the participation of M.Auezov South  Kazakhstan University in the ratings of the best universities in the world in the field of achieving sustainable development goals.

The seminar was organized by the Rae Kwon Chung Center for New Climate Economics and Sustainable Development in cooperation with the Ratings Department.

In conclusion, the Director of the Center, Zh.A. Shingisbayeva, familiarized with the plan for further work in the field of achieving sustainable development goals.
